Break Magic

Type - Standard Action

Requirements - Cannot have used Break Magic this round.

Cost - None

Range/Area - From Self to Maximum Radius

Duration - 1 Round, Persistent

Effects - Character is able to dispel magical effects within a given radius around them. All Spells whose Effective Casting Level is equal to or less than the Level of Break Magic are dispelled with a 100% chance of success. Unlike Dispel Magic, it does not have an effect on anything higher than it's level.

If Hostile spells are listed as a type, then this only effects Hostile Spells - conversely is Friendly is listed as a Type, it cancels Friendly spells. If neither is listed, presume it cancels both.

It has no effect on instantaneous spells - only spells with an on-going duration. It only effects Spells in the area of Break Magic. If Web is cast at a character with Break Magic [10 foot radius], a 20 foot bubble of unwebbed space will exist and, as the character moves, more webs will collapsed and be destroyed. The effect has an effective Duration of 1 round, from phase to same phase, and it follows the character as they move.

It also has no effect on magical items nor on potions, artifacts and relics.
