Age Counter [Type]

Interaction - Dual, Highest, Mixed

Effects - Character gains points that can be spend to reduce penalties from Age above Mature. The Type of Age Counter lists what these points may be spent on. The Types are To-Hit, Toughness, Vitality, Strength, Constitution, Dexterity and Movement. Each point spent reduces one point of penalty from these with the exception of Movement and Vitality. In the instance of Movement and Vitality, the character instead moves up the table for each point spent - from 1/2 Vitality to 3/4 to Normal and from 2/3 Move to 3/4 to Normal.

A Character has 1 point to spend per level of the highest Age Counter they possess and may spend it on ANY Types of Age Counter they have.

If a character receives multiple levels of ANY Age Counter, only the highest Level is used and new levels DO NOT generate point until they are the highest. Thus, if a Level 8 Fighter becomes a Cleric by Dual Class, they already have Battle Scarred 2 meaning they have Age Counter 2. Becoming a Level 1 Cleric gives them Dutiful in Age 1 but this only qualifies them for Age Counter 1 allowing them no bonus, regardless of types. They would have to increase to Level 20 as a Cleric to gain Dutiful in Age 3, increasing them from Age Counter 2 to 3, before they could gain any new benefits.
