Favoured Enemy
Favoured Enemy (Type)
Interaction -
Effects - Character considers an enemy that has the listed Type as a Favoured Enemy. If no category is listed, Character may pick a Type. If a number is listed, the Character has this many Favoured Enemies.
A character has a +4 To-Hit bonus against their Favoured Enemy but suffers a -4 reaction penalty when trying to get along with characters with this Type. For every month the character spends amongst this Type, they may opt to decrease both bonus and penalty by 1. After this becomes 0, the Character may take a new Favoured Enemy - providing they have a valid reason.
The following is an incomplete list and the DM is entirely able to consider a Type that is suggested by a player and determine if it is an acceptable Type for Favoured Enemy. Some incredibly broad Types such as Bipedal, Quadrapedal, Unthinking, Sapient, Sentient, Humanoid and Parahuman cannot be chosen. A Type may refer to a culture or a class within a culture - the Zhentarim, Red Wizards of Thay, Harpers or Peltas Pirates may count as a valid Favoured Enemy but "anyone from the Sword Coast" or "anyone of a given gender" are unlikely to.
Example Types - Human, Dwarf, Elf, Goblinoid, Bestial, Undead (Corporeal), Ethereal Undead, Draconic, Gigan, Fae, Reptillian, Aquatic, Aberration, Ooze, Vegetative, Construct, Elemental, Outsider (Pick either Good, Evil, Neutral, Lawful or Chaotic), Energy.
Undead is considered Corporeal if they do not also possess the Ethereal Type.
