Weapons
perhaps consider standardizing damage for types of weapons?? so that small size swords for instance do 1d6 damage and medium size swords for instance do 1d8 and then have large swords do 1d10 and then specific TYPES have modifiers on top of that. This also means that weapon types can be narrowed down to like knives, swords, axes, clubs, crossbows, bows, etc. rather than individual forms but... I dunno.
Also some weapons have multiple formats; a longsword can be used as a club and a piercing weapon, albeit you might apply a penalty to using them like that (or simply say they use the spear and hammer proficiency, maybe with a -1 still?) that probably do less damage than the main weapon itself. This is, obviously, a big deal with polearms. Polearms should probably also be modular, so you don't have a bunch of voulges or whatever, but can combine certain things and say "you may add x to this and gain an alternate attack but increase item cost and weight etc."
