Combat Styles are a kind of Combat Proficiency that reflect a Character's ability to fight and use their weapons beyond attacking in the normal fashion.
Characters gain a number of free Combat Styles from their Class. They also gain a number of Combat Proficiency points from their Level that may be spent on Combat Styles. Bonus Points may also be spent on Combat Styles.
Many Styles require other Styles or relevant Attribute scores of a certain level - a Character must meet all prerequisites for a Style they wish to take. Many Styles have multiple levels - unlike other Combat Proficiencies, a Character does not need the Weapon Specialization tag for higher levels, unless specifically stated.

Fighting Styles
Standard Fighting Styles

Special Fighting Styles
These Fighting Styles are more unique and usually apply to specific circumstances or otherwise chance the feel of the character.
(improved critical – needs name. Requires Level 10. Level 1 = critical hits within 5 points becomes wider ranger. Level 2 = +1 to critical range) (dangerous critical – needs name. Requires Level 10. Level 1 = Critical Severity dice increases by 1 dice category. Level 2 = +1 to any attacks that generate Severity. Attacks may only gain this bonus once.) (multi-weapon style allows characters with more arms to get more attacks - at more penalties. Requires two-weapon fighting I and stacks with it.)
Defence Styles
Armour Defence Styles
These reflect a character's ability to wear armour and move around in it without penalty.
Special Defence Styles
These reflect a character's ability to protect themselves and those around them, as well as to resist the attacks of others.
Martial Arts Styles
Basic Martial Arts Styles
These are the basic forms of Martial Arts - they require nothing greater than Expertise or Specialization in Brawling, Wrestling or Natural Attacks. These apply to Unarmed and Natural Attacks.
(defensive style changed to blocking style)
Advanced Martial Arts Styles
Advanced Martial Arts all require at least a Basic Martial Arts Style - some require other Advanced Martial Arts Styles. These apply to Unarmed and Natural Attacks.
(pressing strike - allows grapple attack without hands but counts as one-handed attack for purposes of penalties - uses body, joints and feet) (grasping style – providing a character makes a brawling attack in a round, the character gains a free attack that can be used for Wrestling attacks. Requires Striking and Flowing style.)
