Mobility refers to how fast the character can move by default.

Determining Mobility

Base Move

This determines the Base Move Score of the character - how fast they move around. After this is lifted how the character moves relatively - if they have Humanoid Movement or Beast Movement

Base Move is not adjusted by any modifiers - it is what is modified.

Base Move represents a number of (usually) 1 inch tiles. Each tile represents 5 foot of movement - thus a character with a Base Move of 12 would, without any adjustments, move 12 tiles (60 feet) if they use a Full Move action.

Move Modifiers

By default, Move is adjusted by modifiers from Strength and Dexterity, though other modifiers may be applied, typically from magical items. These modifiers are applied to Base Move to determine Full Move.

A character with Base Move 12, 6 Strength and 17 Dexterity receives a -1 from Strength and +2 from Dexterity. This means their Full Move, by default, would be 13, and their Half Move 6.5.

Full Move

This represents the number of Move Points the character receives when they use a Full Round Action to Move.

Half Move

This represents the number of Move Points the character receives when they use a Move or Standard action to Move.

If 1/2 a Move Point is available, it is lost unless the character gains another 1/2 Move Point within the round. For instance, a character with a Full Move of 13 has a Half Move of 6.5. They use a Move action to move 6 tiles. They cannot move 1/2 a tile and so decide to stop. If they continue, using another action, they would move a total of 7 more tiles (0.5 + 6.5).

Different Movement Types

The above to Land Movement by default. Characters have separate Base Moves for Swimming, Flying and Burrowing speeds. These, likewise, have Humanoid Movement or Beast Movement.

Alternative Movement

To speed up multiplication, a character may record the Movement Points gained from their type of Movement - Humanoid or Beast.

Humanoid Movement Scores

Humanoid characters can Run and Sprint to increase the number of Move Points they receive. These range from x2 for Running and x3 to x5 for Sprinting.

Our character with 13 Full Move would receive 26 from Running, and from 39 to 65 from Sprinting.

Beast Movement Scores

Beast-like characters can Canter, Gallop or Dash to increase the number of Move Points they receive. These range from x1.5 for Canter, x2 for Galloping and x3 for Dashing.

A Riding Horse with 24 Full Move would receive 36 for Cantering, 48 for Dashing and 72 for Galloping.
