Description The Desert Wanderers, also known as "Lurkers", were a product of the Lilim's war with the Nephilim - powerful as they were, they were not so numerous initially and used their powers, instead, to build armies in the deserts where Lilith had been cast. Once, they were nomadic people, followers of the herd and sun, but they were elevated to war machines for the battle, to serve as scouts, to survive in the harsh places and to surprise their foes. The war destroyed almost all evidence of their lives before and, after the Scourge of the Nephilim and the Banishment of the Lilim, they were left with nothing but their rags and their weapons.
Their memories of war became deeply clouded once the control of the Lilim was lifted - behavioural patterns stuck but knowledge of the ancient days is now broken up. They became wanderers and nomads again, some seeking to make a new culture for themselves, others to find what came before.
They are sturdy but not strong, due to their small size - an asset in their war with the Nephilim who strode the earth like giants. They were given intense magical education, but between this and the influence of the Lilim being stripped for them, they are also prone to insanity.
Their numbers dwindle - they are eternal but sterile and no means they yet no of exists to perpetuate their race.
